The Red Lake Area Golf and Country Club is the most northerly 18
hole course in Ontario. This course is located on the shores of
Red Lake near the community of Balmertown. 18 challenging holes,
clubhouse with pro shop, licensed lounge, power cart and club
rentals. Open to everyone this public course also offers special
group tournament packages.

Red Lake Recreation Centre
The Red Lake Recreation Centre includes 2 squash courts, weight
room, workout room, outdoor ice surface, basketball court, and two
tennis courts.
Located in Balmertown the Campbell Recreation Centre includes a
indoor full sized pool, sauna, weight room, workout and special
event room, 5 sheet curling rink with licensed lounge, a bowling
alley with snack bar, and baseball field.

Cochenour Arena
The Cochenour Arena provides a venue for Red Lakes local hockey
talent. Community and open skating time is also available.

Snow Machine Trails
The Red Lake Trail Masters is the local snowmachine club. They
are one of 292 volunteer clubs that operate and maintain Ontario's
35,000 km of groomed trails. The network of trails includes the
border-to-border Trans Ontario Provincial (TOP) Trail System. The
Red Lake Trail Masters Snowmachine Club runs an annual Poker Derby
(weather permitting) and maintain the Red Lake trail system
including numerous routes with warm-up huts.

Public Libraries
The Municipality maintains two libraries, one on fifth street in
Balmertown, and the new library in Red Lake. Books, movies and
Internet access, plus a number of special events.

Toys Lending Libraries
A centre for children to integrate and socialize with others.
Toys can be enjoyed at the centre or taken home, children can play
as well as learn in this environment. It is also a place for
parents to meet new families. One in each of Red Lake and
Balmertown, open to everyone.
