Boat Launching

Government Docks and Boat Launch
This municipal boat launch includes 8 docks and is located downtown Red Lake on Howey Street at the Government turnaround.  This central location allows for convenient access to local amenities.  The docks are free to use and equipped with lighting.

St. Paul's Bay Boat Launch
This municipal boat launch with a dock is located on St. Paul's Bay Road.  Short-term parking space is available and 10 long-term parking stalls can be leased.

Cochenour Boat Launch
This municipal boat launch is located beside the Ferry dock in Cochenour.  Temporary parking is available along Highway 125.

McNeely Boat Club

The McNeely Boat Club is a private boat launch and docking. Permits are available for purchase.

Red Lake Marine
Red Lake Marine has a private boat launch and docking. Boat slips are available to rent for the season.

Red Lake Safe Waters Association

Red Lake Safe Waters Association, is a non-governmental, volunteer run, organization set up to promote safe boating practices on Red Lake and on the Red Lake / Gullrock Lake waterway by:

1. The acquisition of and maintenance of and placement of navigational aids including water-based and shore-based navigational aids on Red Lake and along the Red Lake / Gullrock Lake waterway.

2.  Aiding in the search for boats lost or stranded on Red Lake and the Red Lake / Gullrock Lake waterway, on an emergency response basis.
Memberships are available on their Facebook page as well as at Lakeside Marina and Red Lake Marine Products.

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters for free. The Ontario Government has designated four periods throughout the year as free fishing.
