The Local Initiatives Contribution program (LIP) is a funding program administered by the Chukuni
Communities Development Corporation, on behalf of Industry Canada and FedNor, which supports
incremental local community economic development projects to a maximum of $5,000 at the local level.
Eligible applicants: Not-for-profit groups, which includes: First Nation, Municipalities, Economic
Development or other non-profit community organizations within the Red Lake and Ear Falls area.
Ineligible applicants: Small and medium-sized enterprises and other for profit organizations.
Local Initiatives Program priorities include Community Economic Development, Business Growth and
Competitiveness, and/or Innovation.
