The Red Lake Area Golf and Country Club is the most northerly 18-hole course in Ontario. This course is located on the shores of Red Lake near the community of Balmertown. 18 challenging holes, clubhouse with pro shop, licensed lounge, power cart, and club rentals. Open to everyone this public course also offers special group tournament packages.

The Red Lake Recreation Centre includes 2 squash courts, a weight room, a workout room, an outdoor ice surface, a basketball court, and two tennis courts.

Evolution Mining Recreation Centre

Located in Balmertown, the Evolution Mining Recreation Centre, includes an indoor full-sized pool, sauna, weight room, workout, and special event room, 5 sheet curling rink with licensed lounge, a bowling alley with snack bar, and a baseball field.
Cochenour Arena
The Cochenour Arena provides a venue for Red Lakes local hockey talent.
Community and open skating times are also available.

McKenzie Island Cross Country Ski Area
The McKenzie Island Ski Area offers excellent groomed trails for the cross-country ski enthusiast. All skill levels are welcomed on the well-marked and maintained trails.

Snow Machine Trails
The Red Lake Trail Masters is the local snow-machine club. They are one of 292 volunteer clubs that operate and maintain Ontario's 35,000 km of groomed trails. The network of trails includes the border-to-border Trans Ontario Provincial (TOP) Trail System. The Red Lake Trail Masters is a dedicated group of volunteers, working to provide excellent snowmobiling opportunities in the Red Lake area. Miles of groomed trails and frequently organized rides will provide fun and adventure for the whole family. The Red Lake trail system includes numerous routes with warm-up huts.
