Chukuni Communities Development Corporation (C.C.D.C.) The Mandate of the C.C.D.C. is to generate and maintain permanent employment in the areas of Ear Falls and Red Lake by:
Fostering communication and strong working relationships at both local and regional levels to deal effectively with challenges.
Providing financial and advisory services to improve business competitiveness.
Facilitating training and education to produce a workforce with the skills required by current and developing employers.
Building and equipping a volunteer base dedicated to creating healthy community environments. The C.C.D.C. has played a significant role in the creation and preservation of at least 800 jobs regionally since 1988.

Ministry of Health - Northwestern Health Unit Howey Street, Red Lake The Northwestern Health Unit provides Immunization, Reproductive Health Care Information, Nutritional Information, Foot Care, CNIB Eye Van, Sexual Health/Family Planning, Dental Health, Drug/Alcohol Substance Abuse/Tobacco Use Prevention, Audiology, Physical Activity Promotion, Tuberculosis Control and Speech Pathology. The office is staffed by a Public Health Nurse, whose main responsibility is disease prevention.

Literacy Literacy offers assistance to adults wanting to upgrade their Math and English skills up to grade 10. They also assist with other materials also, such as learning English, reading and writing as well as improving you work skills . The program is looking for volunteers to act as tutors.
