New Starts for Women is exactly as it sounds. This emergency centre gives abused women and their children a chance to a fresh start. The shelter is open to women experiencing physical, sexual, psychological, and financial abuse. If need be, arrangements such as air, bus or taxi can be arranged by the shelter. The shelter is open 24 hours 7 days a week. Male children are eligible to come to the centre until they reach the age of 16. For information, please call 807-727-2820.
