Community Counseling and Addiction Services, CCAS is a free and confidential service offered in Red Lake. There are two branches of the service, Mental Health Counseling and Case Management and Substance Abuse and Problem Gambling.
Mental Health, avaliable to adults 18 years and older, and Substance Abuse counseling, available to those 12 and older, is conducted in similar manners. With each new client, an individual assessment is completed before a counseling plan and treatment is laid out. Counselors work with clients to develop goals and goal planning, and offer resources that may be helpful.
CCAS also offers prevention and health promotion services to inform groups and the community about mental health, substance abuse, and gambling issues. A variety of workshops are available upon request.
