The Red Lake/Ear Falls District being located in the northwest
corner of the province experiences four distinct seasons. The
winters are generally characterized by cold temperatures and
moderate quantities of snow which persists on the ground from
mid-November to March providing excellent conditions for
snowmobiling, skiing, and other traditional winter activities.
Spring in the area is characterized by being moderately dry and
warm. Summers are moderately warm and dry with hot periods
traditionally in July and early August. Autumn is characterized by
cool weather with periods of frost starting in September.
