The Balmertown Outdoor Skating Rink is located in the lower part of the Golden Learning Centre school yard. It is equipped with flood lights and on the ice surface there are two goal nets. There is a change shed beside the ice surface where people can go to put on their skates or warm up. A hockey game or just a leisurely outdoor skate is definitely a 'must' activity in Northern Ontario.
